Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Quality Auditor to join the Quality Core Team located in St. Louis, MO, in a virtual capacity.

Note: This position requires the ability to travel frequently to Boeing sites, as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews of complex proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring they are effectively implemented in the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Represents the Company on industry working groups to develop industry standards for quality.
  • Advises senior leadership on development of business strategies that influence directives and policies.
  • Advises multi-function groups on development of processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory, statutory and AS9100 requirements are deployed.
  • Consults in high level reviews of corrective actions at the site, enterprise and customer level to assure that trends or systemic issues are identified and advises on development and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts business unit risk analysis to determine audit focus areas.
  • Develops and manages business unit audits plans and schedules.
  • Trains and advises senior management on preparation for third party audits.
  • Performs benchmarking of enterprise best-practices.
  • Works under consultative direction.

This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in the listed locations. Candidate must live within driving distance of a domestic airport.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in leading or managing project and teams
  • 10+ years of experience with AS9100 or ISO9000 and/or similar (QMS) Quality Management System
  • 10+ years of experience in quality auditing and/or inspection

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ideal Candidate is an Authenticated Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) (Note: this will be required prior to start if selected)
  • Bachelors degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education/experience?
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
  • 5+ years of knowledge with technical experience in an aerospace environment
  • IAQG Aerospace Auditor Transition Training AS9100
  • IAQG Aerospace Auditor Transition Training AS9110
  • IAQG Aerospace Auditor Transition Training AS9120
  • IAQG 9101F Revision Training

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years related work experience, 19 years related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Travel:

Travel will be required up to 50 of the time. Travel will typically be to Boeing sites located in the contiguous United States. Occasional International travel may be required.

Summary pay range: USD $127,500 - $172,500
