The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Trade Control Specialist based out of Arlington, VA to join the Licensing, Policy, Sanctions, and Compliance team within the Global Trade Compliance Organization.

You will be part of a team of subject matter authorities that provide trade regulatory expertise and strategic guidance to Boeing internal partners and collaborate with US regulators and industry associations on licensing and policy issues.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and monitors export license applications submitted to US Government (USG)

  • Participates in or leads industry advocacy groups and governmental engagement to impact the global trade control environment

  • Provides export control regulatory guidance (subject matter authority) within the company

  • Other duties as assigned

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with writing trade control authorities/export-import licensing

  • 5+ years of experience providing guidance on US export regulations and working in license submissions (e.g., Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR))

  • 5+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or relevant military experience

  • Current/Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

  • 5+ years of experience in a role where meticulous attention to detail, with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount

  • 5+ years of experience managing and organizing multiple deliverables and deadlines with minimal direction

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years related work experience, 19 years related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $125,800-$170,200
