Summary
The Server Administrator II participates in all aspects of design, analysis, implementation and support of systems, software or other solutions for Enterprise Information Technology and acts as contributing members for all assigned projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Actively participates in the maintenance, monitoring, reporting, and support of operating systems, applications, and services.
Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, communication, network, and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required in accordance with SLA guidelines.
Participate in design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, and peripherals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS degree in computer related curriculum and 4+ years network and operating system experience, or AA degree and 6 years’ experience in network and operating system design, test and maintenance or equivalent related experience.
Experience supporting client issues with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Platforms and Federation Services (ADFS, SAML, Duo, Microsoft Auth etc.)
Experience with Azure Security and Identity services (e.g., Security Center, Azure Active Directory, RBAC, NSGs / ASGs)
Experience with Azure Networking services (e.g., VNETs, Load Balancers, Front Door, ExpressRoute, Traffic Manager, Content Delivery Network)
Previous experience supporting the following: Microsoft SQL 2008/2012/2014/2016 (DB Maintenance, Access), Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019 and Office 365 (Mailbox maintenance), Microsoft IIS
Expertise and practical experience with Microsoft server products and VMware technologies (i.e., Hyper-V, DFS, Active Directory, ExchangeO365, VMware, vSphere and vSAN.)
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, Load-Balancers, etc.)
Incumbents must hold one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Azure Fundamentals, or Azure Administrator Associate.
Preferred Skills
Experience with virtualization (VMware vCenter/ESXi, VMware Horizon) – VM Deployment, Monitoring, Configuration.
Security Responsibilities
Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper spaning and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.
