Shipside Operations Specialist

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking Shipside Operations Specialists to join the 787 Final Assembly Team located in North Charleston, SC for variable shifts.

This position will provide critical production support, focused on improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality.  

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Uses technical knowledge, understanding of process flow, and networking skills to ensure issues are addressed and resolved by responsible support organization via Shipside Action Tracker System (SAT)
  • Facilitate ongoing coordination and tracking of open items for positional needs
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and defined standard work
  • Analyzes and interprets data for positional metrics and milestones in-position in Final Assembly – drives and prioritizes actions according to milestones in the factory
  • Supports root cause analysis via Boeing Rapid Problem Solving Process and corrective action plans to address recurring and high impact issues to organizations
  • Facilitates daily tier meetings
  • Ensure accuracy of closure codes assigned to every SAT

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 1+ year’s experience with operational analysis
  • 1+ year’s experience with root cause analysis and corrective action
  • 1+ year’s experience using Microsoft Office applications  (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 1+ year’s experience using the Boeing Shipside Action Tracker System
  • Ability to work variable shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 2: 1+ years Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • Level 3: 3+ years Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • Experience in a supportive Line Side Control Center (LSCC) role
  • Level 2: 1+ years of experience in REDARS, Velocity, SAT, and BAC specifications
  • Level 3: 3+ years of experience in REDARS, Velocity, SAT, and BAC specifications

Shift

This position is for a Variable Shift. Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.

Summary Pay Range:

LEVEL 2: $64,600 - $87,400

LEVEL 3: $78,200 - $105,800
