Job Summary:

The Social Media Specialist will play an integral role in Cirrus Aircrafts storytelling as part of the larger Marketing Team located at the Vision Center Campus in Greater Knoxville, Tenn. Working with the team, you will lead the social media strategy, develop a comprehensive social media plan, manage all Cirrus Aircraft social platforms and engage with audiences. The Social Media Specialist must be passionate about social media curation and aligning content with Cirrus Aircrafts luxury lifestyle brand voice and aesthetic.

The successful candidate will be an expert in social media with a pulse on news and trends, a proactive communicator, an excellent storyteller and writer and a team player. As an active participant in data collection and analysis, the Social Media Specialist will play a key role in consistently improving the companys social media practices over time through metric reporting.

The Social Media Specialist will report to the Public Relations Manager. This is a full-time, in-office role based at the Vision Center Campus in Greater Knoxville.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Develop and manage the social content calendar and share the weekly posting schedule with the team.
  • Manage posts to social media platforms and engage with all audiences through comments and direct messages.
  • Proactively ideate, capture and edit content that aligns with Cirrus Aircrafts brand.
  • Work closely with the media team to curate and launch content aligned with the brand.
  • Add creative ideas to the content calendar and be able to leverage resources when/if the calendar is sparse.
  • Post social media content regularly and monitor platforms to reshare timely items.
  • Provide ongoing strategic recommendations based on current social media trends and platform changes.
  • Write blog posts supporting content initiatives and push them to proper social media channels.
  • Work closely with marketing team members on cross-channel campaigns to optimize outreach and strategy.
  • Work closely with the global sales team, partner networks, owners and stakeholders to collect stories and content.
  • Assist the global sales team and stakeholders with on-brand social strategies and best practices. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Public Relations Manager on social media content and all other projects.
  • Monitor and report on competitors and other luxury brand social media accounts.
  • Identify and engage with influencers and ambassadors within vertical markets. 
  • Seek new opportunities for increased brand awareness across social media.
  • Monitor social media news and flag opportunities or incidents.
  • Support with crisis communications as needed.
  • Travel and support social media and PR at events as needed.
  • Develop monthly reports with metrics and emerging social media trends for leadership.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field.
  • 2+ years experience in social media management. Luxury brands preferred.
  • Expert in social media platforms Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and GIPHY.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent photography, videography and editing skills.
  • Excellent storytelling and creativity skills.
  • Excellent productivity, time-management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) is preferred.
  • Interest and/or experience in aviation is a plus.
  • Proficient with social media management and reporting platforms such as HootSuite, Sprout, Zoho or Emplify.
