Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, HR Business Partner to join our team. The successful candidate will partner closely with leadership and employees to define and execute HR strategies that enable accomplishment of business objectives while leveraging their strong interpersonal skills to communicate with groups inside and outside of the HR function, partnering on key initiatives, shaping our culture, talent practices, and HR procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Provide daily direct HRBP support to a population of cross-functional employees and leaders
- Establish, implement, and oversee HR policies and programs by providing counsel and assistance to employees and leaders on HR matters.
- Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts. Works with employees and leaders to address root causes of HR and employee relations issues. Provides change management leadership.
- Assists and/or advises management in the development and implementation of plans to promote employee engagement and positive employee relations. Provides coaching and guidance related to compensation. Performs project management duties and team facilitation.
- Facilitates and supports Performance Management, Employee Relations and Engagement, Talent Management including Staffing, Organizational Development, Compensation and Employee Development.
- Build and maintain effective working relations with leadership and employees to provide advice and counsel to both on employee-related and organizational matters.
- Coordinates employee transfers, status changes, new hire onboarding, conducts exit interviews, and provides recommendations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with functional leaders and Talent Acquisition to successfully staff all needs in support of growing business.
- Utilize trends and analytics to provide proactive recommendations and propose solutions to enable sound talent decisions and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree with 4 years prior HR experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior HR experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related HR experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience working as an HR Business Partner with increasing scope and responsibility, supporting various levels within the organization, preferably within a matrix and government contracting environment.
- Experience with Team Facilitation, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Staffing, Compensation, and Organizational Development.
- Strong business and HR acumen, including proactive problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a proven track record of delivering on commitments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence, coach and consult employees at all levels of the organization.
- Highly adaptable and able to succeed in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience with root cause analysis with ability to link situations to the bigger picture.
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment as well as operate independently.
- Possesses a high degree of professional integrity and confidentiality with an eye for attention to detail.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint with the ability to analyze and display data.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as PeopleSoft and PeopleFluent.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $62,000 - $115,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
