To help meet the growing complexities and challenges, we are seeking an innovative, passionate, execution and customer-oriented Privacy Manager to join our Privacy Compliance team in Montreal.
Reporting to the Director, Privacy Compliance, the Specialist, Privacy Compliance will be an integral member of a growing team committed to the design and implementation of Air Canada’s next-generation privacy governance program. The responsibilities will include:Designing and implementing privacy trust-enabling processes and continuous improvementsUpdating and maintaining privacy policies and procedures, including processes and tools, to enable and monitor compliance and alignment with corporate values and objectivesSupporting, enabling and improving the corporate privacy breach response planDeveloping and maintaining privacy impact assessment (PIA) tools, conducting PIAs, and training internal partnersDesigning KPIs and other monitoring solutions, and preparing reportsDeveloping and delivering a training program including training scheduling and communicationsDesigning and overseeing processes for managing privacy complaints & access / correction / transfer / deletion requestsConducting investigations into privacy complaintsOverseeing the design and maintenance of all records of processing activitiesWorking closely with various branches including Legal, IT, Customer Experience, People, Culture and Communications, Loyalty, E-commerce, and Sales, to help enable the company to achieve its objectives, including operational, sales and data-driven objectives including the use of artificial intelligence.
QualificationsMinimum of 3 and up to 10 years of experience in a privacy, compliance or operational risk managementHold a university degree in law or bachelor’s degree or paralegal certification, preferredPrivacy accreditation, an asset Knowledge and experience with PIPEDA, and global privacy laws including the GDPR, an assetProject management experience and familiarity with information technology systems and tools an assetExperience conducting investigations, an assetExcellent oral and written communication including presentation skillsExcellent decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to deal with conflicting points of view and develop solutionsInclination to take initiative and be proactive and resourcefulHave a practical and business-oriented approachFacility in managing shifting prioritiesAbility to work within tight timelinesDetail orientedDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
