Senior Content Marketing Specialist

We are looking to hire a driven Senior digital content specialist to focus on long-form content and thought leadership, ultimately responsible for developing and executing content that not only drives traffic and generates leads but also positions our company as a leader in the industry. This role will leverage expertise in content creation, keyword research, and user engagement analysis to craft compelling narratives that resonate with our target audience and drive measurable results.
To be successful as a content marketing specialist, you should be able to collaborate with the marketing team to develop innovative ideas and see them through to completion. Ultimately, an outstanding content specialist should demonstrate exceptional content presentation skills and be able to work well under pressure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

Senior Content Specialist Responsibilities:
Research and write high-quality content in conjunction with subject matter experts, including articles, whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and social media posts, that is consistent with the companys brand image and addresses both business goals and customer needs.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather insights and develop content that demonstrates our thought leadership.
  • Optimize content for SEO and engagement, ensuring maximum visibility and impact.
  • Analyze content marketing data to identify trends and anticipate customer needs.
  • Perform content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what 
    is needed.
  • Work with product management, marketing staff and others as required in support of sales enablement and marketing content strategy.
  • Manage marketing content for sales and buyer enablement.
  • Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts. Create concepts that help develop compelling, on-strategy content ideas that support B2B sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Support our style guides that specify the writing style and tone needed to create engaging content. Ensure that brand guidelines are strictly adhered to.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the target audience through online and traditional 
    market research.
  • Other content creation duties as assigned.

MUST HAVES

  • 3+  years of writing long form or thought leadership B2B content, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that engage and resonate with target audiences
  • 2+ years experience with content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).

WE VALUES

  • 3-5 years content marketing experience in highly matrixed, fast-paced organizations. B2B technical experience strongly preferred. 
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, or related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation and copywriting, with a focus on long-form content and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, with experience conducting keyword research and optimizing content for search engine visibility.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong content presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • WorkFront and Adobe creative suite experience preferred. 
  • Exceptional marketing and collaborative skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
