This Senior Long Range Maintenance Planning Analyst delivers on our Purpose by providing the Long Range Strategic Plan for all heavy maintenance to be scheduled as required by the FAA. This role oversees the management, research, analysis, and development of maintenance forecasting models and reports to support the successful implementation of Southwests maintenance requirements. This Senior Long Range Maintenance Planning Analyst is detail oriented and a strategic thinker who looks forward to making a meaningful impact on Technical Operations at Southwest.

Responsibilities
  • Use logic, frameworks and data to formulate high-impact recommendations and implementation plans for maintenance system capabilities encompassing the maintenance footprint, manpower, and facilities considering current and proposed revenue schedule changes, new aircraft acquisition, new maintenance programs and new maintenance procedures and/or requirements
  • Depict the maintenance system as part of the business by formulating models for decision making by including operational constraints, conflicting objectives, and related numerical parameters
  • Research, develop and prepare maintenance system requirement reports for network schedule design inputs incorporating a systems understanding of business trade-offs and risk management
  • Interface across functional groups as a process owner to ensure maintenance requirements are included in the network schedule design and facilitate the coordination of corresponding action plans
  • Develop monthly and annual Aircraft Maintenance Planning performance reports and present to Planning Leadership
  • Assist Planning Leadership in the research and development of best practices from across industries and academia to be incorporated in process development and continuous improvement
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee&39;s Leaders

  • Proven ability in designing and conducting analysis, as well as synthesizing recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce data to only the bare minimum of what is needed to communicate a message
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and develop data visualizations that synthesize complex data concepts
  • Ability to keep focused, motivated and working effectively under stressful conditions
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: Bachelor&39;s Degree

Experience
  • Expert level experience, expansive and far reaching knowledge in:
    • Operations analytics or financial analysis and modeling/budgeting
    • Utilizing data analysis for action plan development
    • Airline operations/aircraft maintenance

Licensing/Certification
  • N/A

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use a computer with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to travel long hallways in large buildings and in between campus buildings

Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Competitive market salary from $102,500 per year to $113,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
