Boeing Digital Aviation Solutions is currently seeking a senior specialist in market and competitive intelligence. This role aims to support our government and military aviation line of business leaders and sales teams by generating crucial market insights.  Key responsibilities include digital spend and industry trend analysis, market segmentation, sizing, and projected growth, market capture, and development of competitive intelligence. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates business opportunities to define, optimize, and disrupt the Digital Aviation Solutions business portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market/industry trends, new technologies, customer business issues and the competitive environment.  
  • Broad knowledge of company core capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market segmentation and share to identify gaps, as well as areas of growth and expansion, and uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to quantify market assessments, formulate market strategies and identify new or adjacent market growth opportunities.
  • Additional responsibilities include compilation and maintenance of current or emerging company and/or competitor profiles and development of key market personas.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher
  • 5+ years experience developing market and/or competitive intelligence
  • 5+ years experience in aviation or aerospace domain (e.g. military or commercial aviation)
  • 9+ years of experience in data analysis, modeling, and/or forecasting; experience working with large data sets required.
  • Advanced Excel, Power Pivot, Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Military Aviation Flight Operations or Sustainment preferred
  • Experience with US and/or international government contracting processes
  • High executive presence with advanced visualization and communication skills
  • Experience conducting primary market assessments and competitor research
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic, global, self-managed team environment

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years related work experience, Master+7 years related work experience, 13 years related work experience, etc.).

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years related work experience, Master+12 years related work experience, 18 years related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Average Pay Summary: $124,950 - $169,050

                                           $157,250 - $212,750
