Job Title: Sr. Parts Customer Service & Inventory Control Specialist | Position Summary: The Sr. Parts Customer Service & Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of computer system and customer support functions related to Parts Customer Service operations. This role manages inventory data, pricing, quoting, reporting, cycle counts, forecasting, and part number maintenance while serving as a liaison between dealers, customers, the Parts Distribution center and internal departments. The position ensures accurate inventory control, timely shipment of parts, effective customer communication and continuous improvement of parts systems and processes.
Essential Job Functions Maintain current knowledge of international regulatory requirements and adapt processes accordingly. Negotiate international freight rates and coordinate international shipping activities. Serve as a liaison between the Parts Distribution Center, international/domestic dealers and internal departments to facilitate timely parts production and shipment. Research technical parts inquires and determine appropriate resolution or escalation. Interface with dealers and the Parts Distribution Center regarding order status, shipment information and inventory concerns. Prepare, track, maintain and distribute invoices for parts sales. Monitor parts backorders and shipment status utilizing LN and distribute reports as appropriate. Assist dealers and customers with damaged, missing or incorrect part orders. Perform computer data entry and maintain accurate records within system databases. Maintain Service item master files including - part numbers; storage locations; cross reference data; replacement information; signal codes; model codes. Confirm and manage daily backorders. Forecast service item requirements and inventory needs. Investigate and process inventory reversals and adjustments utilizing all required LN functions. Generate cycle count reports, coordinate physical inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy. Coordinate inventory adjustments with Customer Service, Production and Receiving departments. Make recommendations for system and process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. Manage pricing, quoting, inventory control and data integrity for the Parts function. Other duties as assigned. |
Minimum Position Qualifications
| To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience Bachelors Degree required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, inventory control, parts administration or related operations environment preferred. Experience working with ERP systems such as LN or similar inventory management software preferred. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of inventory control practices, forecasting and cycle count processes. |
Physical Demands | Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform and accomplish tasks. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. |
Mental Demands | Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel proficiency, is required. |

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to both office and plant environments. May be exposed to odors, chemical agents, dust, fumes, gases, sharp objects, hazardous or moving equipment, wet slippery floors, and extremes in temperature and humidity. Interacts regularly with various staff and employees, and occasionally with vendors, suppliers, community members and regulatory agency representatives. Travel and overtime are required when necessary. |
