We are seeking a temporary Storage Systems Administrator to join our team.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with Cyber teams to maintain and monitor system availability, performance, and logs using enterprise tools for our storage systems.  

• Work closely with operations, supply chain and legal teams to support mission objectives. 

• Support audit readiness activities and respond to security vulnerability findings. 

• Perform patching and upgrades to storage infrastructure components.

• Leverage ticketing system to resolve incidents submitted by end users.

• Monitor and migrate data in alignment with organizational data management goals.  

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

• Administration of RHEL 7/8/9, including system, firewall, and SELinux. 

• Administration of NetApp enterprise storage.

Technical Qualifications We Prefer:

NetApp ONTAP Expertise

• Expertise with NetApp ONTAP: Deep understanding of ONTAP, NetApps robust storage operating system, and its differentiating features compared to other storage solutions.

• NetApp Logical Interface (LIF) Administration: Proficient in the configuration and management of NetApp Logical Interfaces (LIFs), which serve as virtual network access points for a node within a storage cluster.

• Interface Group (ifgrp) Configuration: Experience with setting up and managing ifgrps (Interface Groups), including single-mode, multi-mode, and LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol) configurations to combine multiple physical networks.

RAID Implementation Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of advanced RAID technologies, specifically RAID-DP (Double Parity) and RAID-TEC (Triple Parity).

WAFL Expertise:

• Knowledge of ONTAPs Write Anywhere File Layout (WAFL) and its role in efficient data management, including data caching based on access patterns.

• Data Replication and Management

SnapMirror Proficiency:

• Extensive experience with SnapMirror, NetApps block-level data replication technology, including creating point-in-time copies and replicating changed blocks between NetApp storage systems.

• Replication Operation Management: Ability to manage replication tasks, including the process of quiescing (stopping ongoing replication operations without breaking the SnapMirror relationship).

Command Line Interface (CLI) Skills

• ONTAP CLI Mastery: Proficient in using the ONTAP Command Line Interface for monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuration. This includes, but is not limited to, the following common commands: system health show, aggregate show, statistics show, volume show, network interface show, cluster show, snapshot policy show, security login show, security audit log show, snap mirror quiesce, snapper store, event log show.

• Experience with enterprise logging, monitoring, and alerting systems with automation tools such as Ansible. 

• Experience with CIS/STIG benchspans and DoD security standards and Linux OS Certificate (RHCSA / LPIC)

• Experience with Splunk/Zabbix

• Experience with Enterprise Active Directory (AD) & LDAP

• Scripting Experience (Bash, Python, Ansible) and Kickstart and experience with hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This is a temporary position of an undetermined length. 

The hourly rate for this role is $53.85 to $107.69. The compensation range provided is a good faith estimate, representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
