Qualifications
Candidates must have One Year (52 weeks) of Specialized Experience that is typically in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (reference Managerial Selection Factors) to successfully perform the duties of that position.
To be creditable, Specialized Experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.For the FV-J level you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least One Year (52-weeks) of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-I level or FG/GS-13 level.
Specialized Experience: Experience which demonstrates an EXTENSIVE knowledge of and hands on experience in the technology, system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronic systems.
Applicants must include examples of specialized experience in their work history.

This position is covered by the Department of Transportation's Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Any applicant tentatively selected for this position will be subject to pre-employment or pre-appointment drug screening. Persons occupying a "testing designated position (TDP)" will be subject to random drug and/or alcohol testing.
Duty Locations: This position may be filled at the Waco, TX duty location or the Tyler, TX duty location.

Supervisory/Managerial Probationary Period Requirement: A one-year supervisor/managerial probationary period may be required. Supervisory/Managerial Training Requirement: For newly appointed Front Line Managers, mandatory corporate training must be completed within prescribed time frames.
Security Requirements: Moderate Risk (5): This position requires completion and favorable adjudication of a background investigation prior to appointment, unless a waiver is obtained. Subject to a 5-year period reinvestigation.
