Location Profile:

The Deer Valley and Jet Processing facilities provide high precision machined and fabricated components to the commercial and aerospace industry along with anodizing, passivation and other surface treatments. Aircraft platforms currently include the Boeing 737, Boeing 777, Airbus A320, Lockheed Martin F-35 and Gulfstream E650.

Position Summary:

The System Administrator will manage and maintain Deer Valley and Jet Processing’s IT infrastructure, serving a user base of 50 to 100 individuals. The ideal candidate will have expertise in VMware, Microsoft Workstation, Server technologies, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual ERP, while also providing exceptional end user support to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

System Maintenance:

  • Manage and maintain VMware virtualization infrastructure for optimal resource utilization.
  • Administer Microsoft Workstation and Server environments, including installation, configuration, and updates.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Manage Visual ERP system, ensuring proper configuration, maintenance, and user access.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard systems, data, SQL databases, and Visual ERP.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

End User Support:

  • Provide responsive technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, SQL, and Visual ERP-related issues promptly.
  • Assist users with IT-related inquiries, offering guidance and training as needed.

Backup and Recovery:

  • Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for critical systems, SQL databases, and Visual ERP data.
  • Test and document recovery procedures for minimal downtime.

Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor system, SQL Server, and Visual ERP performance and resource usage for efficiency.
  • Plan for capacity to accommodate growth and changes in the IT environment and ERP system.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date system, SQL database, and Visual ERP documentation, configurations, and inventories.
  • Generate reports on system, SQL, and ERP performance and utilization.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the IT team to plan and execute system upgrades, SQL database maintenance, and ERP enhancements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop and utilize scripts for automating routine tasks and system administration, including Visual ERP processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor&39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or 5 years equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, with expertise in VMware, Microsoft technology, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual ERP, and end user support.
  • Certification in VMware (e.g., VCP), Microsoft (e.g., MCSE), SQL Server (e.g., MCSA), and Visual ERP is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere.
  • Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft SQL Server, and Visual ERP.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems is a plus.
