The opportunity Join our team and contribute to the World-Class Airborne Early Warning and Control capabilities of the E7A Wedgetail for our esteemed Australian defence customer. We are on the lookout for skilled and experienced Systems Administrators to ensure the effective maintenance and support of ground systems and the seamless integration of any changes in a controlled manner. The opportunity is located on site at Williamtown, NSW, with limited scope for remote work. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with various security, engineering, design, and specialty disciplines
- Work together with Boeing and industry partners to align BDA work methods with best practices.
- Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot issues with IT infrastructure including Hardware, Virtualisation, storage and networking.
- Provide support including, including access and password resets, software updates, and equipment replacements.
- Maintain service patches, antivirus, firewall, software, and drivers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance cybersecurity.
- Oversee system access control, configuration, backup and recovery, user account management, and data transfers.
- Review and verify data export classifications to ensure compliance with protective spaning and logging requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.
Experience/Qualifications Essential: - A Certificate IV in IT, relevant certifications and experience or equivalent is preferred, covering a broad range of relevant skills, including:
- Hardware
- Networking
- Software
- Applications
- Web
- Cybersecurity
- Troubleshooting
- As there are roles at multiple levels, both senior applicants with 5+ years of System Administrator experience, and applicants still early in their career 1-2 with years experience are encouraged to apply
- Proven Experience in technical problem solving
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements for NV2 security clearance and be willing to disclose relevant information to gain or maintain a NV2 clearance.
Desirable: - Experience with specific systems such as Virtualization stacks, Windows, Red Hat or Cisco is beneficial, but versatility in IT knowledge is prioritized
- Windows, Linux and VMware systems design and administration
- Experience in delivering/integrating systems within Defence project environments
- Experience with complex IT systems deployed in challenging environments
- A current NV1 or NV2 security clearance.
