Minimum Education
- BS/BA and/or a minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in a Trade Compliance function in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience
- Skills navigating in a work environment principally based on technology are required.
- Proven working knowledge of the ITAR and EAR. General understanding of HTSUS and Schedule B and other international trade controls.
- Proven working knowledge of U.S. Export Control Reform.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. security clearance.
- US Citizenship required.
- Licensed Customs Broker or trade compliance engineer, a plus.
- Experience working with ITAR technical data, preferred.
- Experience working with a global trade management software platform, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate complex trade matters clearly and concisely.
- Strong working knowledge of international trade and logistics.
- Demonstrated experience navigating export/import laws and regulations of U.S.
- Strong understanding of INCOTERMS 2020.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a matrixed operating environment across a broad spectrum of key stakeholders and various levels of management in a professional manner.
- Ability to adapt to changes rapidly and perform in a fast-paced work environment.
- Solutions-oriented problem solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently using good judgment.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software, in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Other software programs may be required.
- Prior experience in the aviation industry a plus.
