Workstation Automation Administrator

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Workstation Automation Administrator for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Hybrid Schedule: Onsite in Columbia, SC Tuesday–Thursday
(Monday and Friday WFH)
Duration: 11month assignment
Work authorization: U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain a Public Trust (C2) clearance

Position summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Workstation/Server Administrator to support the modernization of the development pipeline for workstations.
This role involves scripting, building test code, and managing source control and deployment tools.
The ideal candidate will have strong workstation management and troubleshooting skills, support automation initiatives, and assist with technical components.
They will have the ability to create/write their own scripts, not just using ones that have already been created for them.

What you will be doing:

Participate in daily standups
Script and automate tasks to support workstation modernization
Build test code and support CI/CD workflows
Manage source control and deployment tools
Support physical and virtual workstation environments
Assist with monthly image builds using BigFix OSD or Intune Autopilot
Create dashboards for workstation health monitoring (e.g., Splunk)
Pull data from APIs to enrich endpoint health insights
Troubleshoot MFP network printers as needed
Document build standards, configurations, and processes
Support hardware validation and lab testing efforts

Minimum required work experience:

Minimum 8 years supporting workstations, servers, or enterprise applications without a degree.
Experience in hardware and software troubleshooting

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Technical skills:

Intune experience
ServiceNow experience
PowerShell scripting
Python scripting
JSON usage in automation or data handling
Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins
Strong PC hardware and workstation OS knowledge
Strong Microsoft Windows OS expertise
Troubleshooting across hardware, OS, and enterprise applications
Experience with Intune (or BigFix/ECM as functional equivalents)
Understanding of Entra ID / Azure AD
Experience working with APIs (queries, data pulls, integrations)

Platform knowledge:

Endpoint management concepts (MDM, device governance, imaging)

Professional skills:

Ability to document technical standards and configurations
Strong communication and teamwork in a collaborative technical environment

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Splunk dashboard creation or enterprise logging experience
Experience integrating REST/HTTP APIs
Junior or full-stack development experience
Familiarity with:
- BigFix OSD or Intune Autopilot
- SCCM/ECD
- ServiceNow
- App Insights
PowerShell automation beyond basic scripting
Experience supporting automation initiatives
Cloud or Intune certifications
