Chipton-Ross is hiring experienced Electrical Mechanic 3s to support aircraft modification and depot-level maintenance programs in San Antonio, TX. This is a high-visibility contract role ideal for skilled aircraft electricians who thrive in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment and want to work on complex electrical systems.

What You’ll Do
As an Electrical Mechanic, you will perform complex on- and off-aircraft electrical modification, installation, testing, and troubleshooting, including:
- Modify, fabricate, route, and install aircraft wire bundles and electrical assemblies
- Perform complex connector terminations (shielded wiring, coaxial cable, fiber optics)
- Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical orders, and retrofit requirements
- Execute sealing, bonding, wrapping, tying, and closure of wire harnesses per standard processes
- Troubleshoot aircraft electrical and environmental systems at the organizational and depot level
- Perform bench, flight line, and operational testing in accordance with DOD and manufacturer standards
- Inspect work for quality, conformance, and operational integrity
- Ensure compliance with safety, FOD, tool control, and hazardous energy/LOTO procedures
- Support aircraft testing, modification, and development programs
- Assist and mentor less-senior mechanics; may lead teams on complex tasks
- Coordinate with peers and leadership to optimize work processes and meet schedule commitments
- Support other trades (Structures, Avionics, General Mechanics) as needed
