Job Title: Aircraft ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Electrician to join our team for the F-35 Aircraft Maintenance, Upgrade, and Overhaul (MUO) Contract Field Team (CFT) at Lemoore, CA. The role involves performing depot-level modifications on F-35 aircraft at Department of Navy locations.
Responsibilities- Lay out, fabricate, and install electrical wiring and coaxial cables in aircraft.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Cut, strip, and insulate wires; attach wiring and electrical systems to fixtures and accessories using bolts, screws, or solder.
- Repair, remove, and reinstall wiring as needed, monitoring quality in accordance with control procedures.
- Isolate faults, troubleshoot, and repair system failures found during operational checks, especially after modifications and maintenance.
- Use aircraft ground support equipment to perform maintenance tasks.
- Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems.
- Interpret and use test equipment, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, job guides, and maintenance manuals.
- Read and interpret engineering documentation, technical manuals, and repair manuals, including understanding symbols, flags, and notes.
- Identify aircraft locations by station, butt-line, and waterline as shown in engineering documentation and technical orders.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required to safely perform job tasks.
Essential Skills- High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of relative work experience as an Aircraft Electrician or Avionics Technician equivalent to USAF 5 level.
- For Mech 4: High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of relative work experience as an Aircraft Electrician or Avionics Technician equivalent to USAF 7 level.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, and test procedures.
- Active Secret Clearance or higher (US Citizenship required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable period of time.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive movements.
- Capability to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.
- Compliance with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, and HazMat handling procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with wiring and harnesses.
- Willingness to provide temporary support to other CFT locations at MCAS Beaufort and MCAS Cherry Point if needed.
- Ability to clearly document completed maintenance, parts tags, logs/records, and parts requests.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment consists of an aircraft hanger at MCAS Miramar. Candidates may be required to travel and support other CFT sites, so flexibility is preferred. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lemoore, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.46 - $43.69/hr.
