The Opportunity
An Aircraft Maintenance Company since1945 with a concentration in repair, overhaul and support. For over 75yrs the Company's services include: component repair and overhaul, ground support test equipment, and airline service programs. Company's  business concentration includes support programs for regional and longer haul airlines, comprising narrow and wide body fleets, and also manufactures and distributes a full line of ground support test equipment.
General Purpose of Job
Performs Testing, Troubleshooting, Disassembly, Internal inspection, Quoting, Assembly, Preventive Maintenance, and Rework, on various types of Electro-Mechanical Aircraft Components.Test, Repair, Modify and/or Overhaul Aircraft Crew Seats & Cockpit Seats, which possess both Mechanical and Electrical Components for adjustment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform testing/ troubleshooting/ disassembly/ internal inspection/ quoting/ assembly/ preventive maintenance and rework, on various types of Electro-mechanical aircraft components, to include but not limited to Linear actuators, Rotary actuators, Electro- valves, Vacuum blowers, Electric Motors, Vane axial Fans, Navigation Lights, switches, sensors and other Electronic components/subcomponents. Determine and Repair failures at the subcomponent level using the respective CMM, SPM, SB/AD, EO, BPF, or other Airline Technical Document, with standard shop tools and specialized equipment, instrumentation, calibrated equipment, or company test stand. Responsible to have knowledge of and follow the company’s Policies/Procedures, Repair Station Manual and Federal Aviation Regulations. Needs to be familiar with a variety of workshop concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of complicated tasks, while maintaining the highest quality standard. Usually reports to the lead technician, supervisor, and/or manager.
 
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
0-2 yrs. minimum experience in Electro-Mech technicity repair or equivalent technical workshop; Seat Mechanical and Electrical Components for adjustment skills are  A+ Basic Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)Experience with Quantum  MX Software - A+ Background in Electro-Mechanical assembly testing/ troubleshooting/ disassembly/ assembly/ rework, or related technical schooling/ technicity .Aircraft Seat experience preferred Possess knowledge of AC/ DC.  --Experience understanding wiring schematics a plus. Ability to solder and de-solder  - electrical components including surface mounted devices. Has familiarity using multi-meter, oscilloscope, function generator, 3 phase power supply’s, etc .Comfortable working in a fast pace environment and keeping a high standard of quality Ability to develop organizational skills and time management. Can understand and apply knowledge of radio, RF circuitry wave guides, as well as digital and analog electronics. Has familiarization with FAA, EASA, CASE regulations Is readily able and willing to receive training/ pass on same training, follow instructions, assists co-workers and/ or those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions, when necessary A & P / FCC / Technical School training, preferable Military Training or equivalent A+
 
Requirements and Skills:
High School diploma or its equivalent2+ years of experience working in a Mechanical Field Familiar with standard test equipment (Torque wrenches, multi-meters, calipers…)Familiar with and possess basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers…)Able to follow written instructions from technical manuals or document. Strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to maneuver 100 lbs. Satisfactorily complete DOT background checks and drug screenings. Understand, write, and read English Formal Electronic Principals training.
