Aviation Electrical Maintenance Technician B - Jacksonville, FL

About the Role:
Seeking skilled Aircraft Electrical Maintenance Technician B to support critical Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) operations. In this role, you will directly contribute to military warfighter readiness, performing repairs and modifications that strengthen global security. You will work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment supporting military commercial derivatives, fighter aircraft, and component operations, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret wire schematics and system diagrams
  • Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity checks
  • Install, route, and secure wiring systems per specifications
  • Complete AC/DC power checks independently
  • Perform wiring terminations (pins, sockets, splices, connectors, shielded wiring)
  • Install and troubleshoot fiber optics, coaxial, and quadrax wiring systems
  • Conduct Air Data Testing with appropriate support
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, modifications, and functional testing on avionics and electrical systems
  • Record work accurately and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies, technical issues, and risks
Job Requirements:
  • 4–5 years of relevant aviation maintenance experience (Level B)
  • 737 experience 
  • Experience troubleshooting and installing fiber optic systems
  • Ability to terminate wiring and install connectors
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Availability to work both 1st and 2nd shifts
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Open to candidates from military and/or commercial backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Certification

Knowledge of aircraft maintenance processes including:

  • Human Factors
  • FOD (Foreign Object Debris) Control
  • Tool Control
  • Health & Safety standards (including COSHH)

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to enter confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Must be able to obtain Fall Protection Certification (OSHA standards)

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of required training (OJT and/or classroom)
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced MRO environment with a focus on safety and quality
