The Avionics Technician III (Backshop) is responsible for the advanced installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics components in compliance with FCC, FAA, and company regulations. This safety-sensitive role requires strong technical skills in wiring, soldering, and diagnostics, along with the ability to interpret schematics and operate test equipment in a physically demanding environment.
RESPONSIBITIES
- Perform avionics maintenance in compliance with FCC, FAA, and company policies and regulations.
- Install, test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics components and systems.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment, tools, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose and correct electrical and electronic issues using schematics and test equipment.
- Interpret and follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance performed and parts utilized.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support aircraft readiness.
- Operate and supervise vehicles, heavy or hazardous equipment, or machinery as needed.
- Inspect structures, equipment, or vehicles for safety and compliance.
- Handle or transport hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
- Adhere to safety protocols in environments with loud noise, fumes, and extreme weather conditions.
- Physically perform tasks including standing, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motion work.
PAY
- $40 hourly
- Split per diem available to those that qualify
