Brunner Aerospace seeks an avionics technician to work at our Georgetown, TX subsidiary, Central Texas Avionics.

The Avionics Install Technician reports directly to the Install Manager for all responsibilities and duties designated to the position, not just those listed below.  This position is responsible for the installation and system design of avionics components into a variety of aircraft.  Includes testing and troubleshooting completed work, finish work, and building wire harnesses.  Some customer communication involved.  Must be prepared to document work and repair deficiencies in the process.  Specific requirements are directed by the Installation Manager, but will include:

• Familiarity with CFR 14 FARs, AC43.13s and appropriate documentation
• Aircraft Wiring Schematics and Symbols
• Manufacturing wiring harnesses
• Installing and troubleshooting wiring harnesses, aircraft electrical systems and electrical components

• This position is required to report daily to Central Texas Avionics, located in Georgetown, TX
• Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing
• Must pass a background check
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
• At least two years of experience within general aviation maintenance operations, including Part 135, or equivalent operational experience to include familiarity with aircraft maintenance scheduling, team management, and customer relations
• Must have knowledge of applicable FARs
• Literacy in Aircraft Wiring Schematics and Symbols
• Familiarity with avionics manufactures such as Garmin, Bendix-King, Honeywell, Avidyne, Aspen Avionics, Dynon, Collins, etc.
• Fluent in basic electrical theory
• Provide proof of good wire crimping and soldering techniques
• Must have own hand tools
• Capable of standing, sitting, and bending to complete assigned tasks
• Experience setting standards and operational guidelines
• Current FAA issued certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings and no violations; will consider a repairman certification
• Experience with aircraft management record keeping programs and sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Interface and communicate well with customers, vendors, team members, flight crews

Preferred:

• Current Aircraft Inspector (IA) certificate
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
• Excel in a results-oriented environment
• Strong communication (written and oral)
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to prepare and complete reports pertaining to department
