Summary:
Provide work direction to technicians and ensure tasks are completed within assigned timeframes
Coordinate with other departments to support on-time aircraft delivery
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment using blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings
Train team members on assigned work tasks and contribute to the development of improved techniques and processes
Support Engineering in resolving technical issues and perform repairs following engineering guidance
Maintain accurate logs and records
Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements and customer specifications
Enforce FOD prevention, tool control, 5-S, and safety program requirements
Perform quality checks on work, including peer work, to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection
Maintain shop equipment and assigned tools
Assist with shift coordination in the absence of the team leader
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen events
Support team coordinator duties as needed
Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Two (2) years of accredited aviation electronics schooling and two (2) years of related work experience; or four (4) years of experience in an avionics or electronic career field
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Working knowledge of company policies, inspection procedures, and process specifications
Ability to transition between tasks with minimal short-term impact to schedule and production goals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer keyboard proficiency
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
