PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading name in the aerospace industry to hire an experienced and driven Avionics Installer. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the installation, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting of advanced avionics and electrical systems that support the safe and successful delivery of world-class aircraft. Your expertise will help drive innovation, quality, and operational excellence across critical aerospace programs.
What You’ll Do
As an Avionics Installer, you will lead and support technicians while performing complex avionics and electrical installations in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide work direction and technical support to technicians to ensure projects stay on schedule
Coordinate with multiple departments to support on-time aircraft delivery
Install, modify, fabricate, and troubleshoot wiring and electrical components using blueprints, engineering drawings, and worksheets
Fabricate wire harnesses, perform terminations, ring-outs, and assist with functional testing of avionics/electrical systems
Train and mentor team members in installation techniques and best practices
Assist Engineering in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation
Ensure all completed work complies with regulatory requirements and customer specifications
Enforce FOD prevention, tool control, 5-S, and all workplace safety programs
Inspect completed work to ensure defect-free assemblies prior to final inspection
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen and process enhancement activities
Assist with shift coordination and provide backup support for team leadership as needed
Maintain shop equipment and tools in proper working condition
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
One of the following:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer and keyboard proficiency
Working knowledge of company policies, inspection procedures, and process specifications
Ability to adapt quickly to new assignments while maintaining productivity and schedule goals
Preferred Qualifications
Previous aerospace manufacturing or aircraft completion experience
Experience leading or mentoring technicians in a production environment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of avionics installation, testing, and electrical integration processes
Experience participating in Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement programs

Pay Details: $32.19 per hour
