Job Description:

Aviation Search Group is partnered with an FAA-certified Repair Station to help them identify an Avionics Manager. As Avionics Manager, you will work closely with the Service Center Maintenance and Fleet Maintenance teams to manage Avionics projects while ensuring safety, quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, employee development, and profitability.

Job Responsibilities:

The Avionics Manager reports to the Service Center Manager and will be responsible for the following job duties, including but not limited to:

  • Direct supervisory responsibilities of the avionics team; currently 3 full-time avionics technicians with plans to grow the team to 6 technicians.
  • Project Management of Service Center and Fleet Avionics work including:
    • Quoting the initial scope of work and change orders
    • Customer communication throughout the project
    • Ensuring that quality of work and regulatory compliance is paramount in all work performed
    • Final delivery of aircraft to the customer
  • Leading the process of troubleshooting and repair of customer/fleet aircraft during AOG situations

Job Requirements:
  • Must possess an unrestricted driver’s license
  • Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience leading high performing teams
  • General and Business Aviation experience

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Ability to evaluate, quote, and execute complex avionics projects
  • Demonstrated relevant project management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and time management skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Part 145 Repair Station experience
  • A&P Certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Greater than 10 years of general aviation industry experience
  • Experience creating budgets and managing P&Ls
