SkyBridge Aviation is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and installation of avionics, ASE, and electrical systems on UH-60A/L/M helicopters. This role requires an in-depth understanding of advanced electronic equipment, system diagnostics, and integration with other aircraft systems. This is a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity supporting government aviation programs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic aircraft components used in communication, navigation, ASE, and flight control systems.
- Install and maintain avionics systems, including NAV/COM/PULSE, Auto Pilot, Audio Systems, TAWS, GPS, and RVSM.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aviation safety practices and evolving technologies.
- Remain familiar with related aircraft systems, such as hydraulic and flight controls, to support integrated troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, repair manuals, blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
- Utilize testing equipment and hand tools to perform precise installations and repairs.
- Provide technical support to electrical, structural, and mechanical engineers, as well as customers.
- Organize workload effectively to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
- Accurately document maintenance actions, repairs, and system modifications in aircraft logs and records.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians during maintenance or modification projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or program management.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of avionics, ASE, and electrical system components.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing advanced electronic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
- Familiarity with NAV/COM/PULSE, GPS, Auto Pilot, Audio Systems, TAWS, RVSM systems preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced maintenance environment.
- Must provide proof of United States citizenship and possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must provide own tools on Day One.
