- Hold a valid FAA-issued A&P certificate
- Additional experience and training in any of the following is preferred:
- Graduated from an accredited avionics school
- Military training in avionics or electronics
- Associate's degree or higher in electronics
- Eighteen months’ experience in the avionics industry
- Meet all FAA and safety Requirements
- Familiar with, read, and understand company, manufacturer, and wire-diagram manuals, including schematics
- Possess basic avionics skills
- Work history demonstrates being a self-starter, working well in a team environment, and effectively using aircraft manuals to troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems
- Possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Have a minimum set of tools (see minimum tool list)
- Problem-solving and organizational skills are required
- Work varying shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment as well as in aircraft maintenance and safety
Physical and Other Requirements
- Comfortably lift 60 lbs. routinely, with or without reasonable accommodation
- This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position
