Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team. The role involves heavy modifications and working on aircraft such as the Hercules C130, Citation project, and 737 interior upgrades. You will be responsible for larger component installations off-aircraft, as well as fabrication and assembly of avionics and electrical parts according to manufacturing drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Work within quality systems and SOPs to deliver products conforming to type design.
• Ensure all installations comply with Canadian Aviation Regulations and FAA Regulations.
• Use good judgment and technical skills to determine the order of work, techniques, and troubleshooting.
• Identify non-conformances and counterfeit parts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Plan and execute avionics installation projects with precision.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with peers and manufacturers.
• Ensure use of effective and calibrated tools.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of machines and tools.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

• 10+ years of experience in heavy maintenance and avionics installation.
• Experience with Hercules C130, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Bombardier aircraft.
• Ability to run comb and clamp harnesses.
• Familiarity with leading avionics brands.
• A&P License or AME E License preferred
• Must be eligible to work in Canada - Permanent Residency or Canadian Citizenship status

Work Environment

The position involves working with a team of 14 avionics technicians per shift, with flexibility in shifts. You may need to work split shifts, with hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm or 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. The schedule offers flexibility with options for 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off, ideal for a balanced work-life arrangement. Flight/travel arrangements are covered each rotation. Own accommodations are provided, and transportation arrangements include company vehicles for commuting and personal errands.
