Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to join our team, working on projects such as the Hercules C130, Citation 550 & 560, and interior upgrades on the B737. This role involves the fabrication of avionics and electrical parts, assembly in accordance with manufacturing drawings, and supporting systems off-aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy modifications on aircraft models including Hercules C130, Citation 550 & 560, and CH47s.
• Execute larger component installations off-aircraft and interior upgrades on the 737.
• Fabricate and assemble avionics and electrical parts using manufacturing drawings and manuals.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Work within the quality system and SOPs to deliver products conforming to type design.
• Ensure installations comply with Canadian Aviation and FAA Regulations.
• Identify non-conformances and counterfeit parts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Plan and execute avionics installation projects with precision.
• Communicate effectively with peers and manufacturers.
• Use effective and calibrated tools, maintaining regular cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area.
• Carry out other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of installation experience.
• Experience with Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Bombardier, and Cessna avionics and electrical systems.
• Must have TCAA Approved Avionics or Accredited Avionics course in Canada
• Strong familiarity with leading avionics brands such as Garmin, Becker, Collins, Honeywell.
• Minimum two years of experience with maintenance and installation of aircraft avionics and related electrical systems.
• A&P license or AME E preferred

• Flights covered - Fly in & Fly out rotation

Work Environment

Work alongside avionics techs with flexible hours. Shifts may include mornings from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm or afternoons from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. Please note that this position is located in British Columbia on rotation from Contractors home province from anywhere within Canada.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Toronto,ON.
