Job Title: Avionics Technician II
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Avionics Technician II to provide leadership and technical expertise in performing operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic, aircraft equipment, and systems. This role ensures a defect-free aircraft, offering superior technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies while maintaining schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate superior technical skills in avionics systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
- Provide direct training to personnel, supporting company cross-training goals.
- Teach the installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs.
- Repair or replace defective components and wiring, using effective repair techniques including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.
- Oversee performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
- Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests.
- Maintain daily logs and documentation of all work performed on the aircraft.
- Pre-inspect work of others to reduce rework and inspection time.
- Provide knowledge and technical expertise in testing and maintaining test equipment and electronic systems.
- Enforce the companys FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
- Adapt to sudden schedule changes and coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
Essential Skills- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Four years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two years related experience.
- Technical expertise in avionics and electronic systems.
- Experience in avionics installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- FCC and NCATT certifications preferred.
- If former military, must have honorable discharge with a copy of DD214.
- Must not have any failure to test or failed drug tests in the past under a DOT program.

Work Environment
The work environment is climate-controlled, and tools are provided. Employees must be open to working any shift, including days, nights, and weekends, as needed. Numerous shifts are available, and the shift will not be designated until the contractor starts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.19 - $32.19/hr.
