Avionics Technician Professional

Job Description:

Essential functions:

Avionics technician work scope scope to include new instrument panels, auto pilots, PFD/MFD, sensors, GPS, nav/com, transponders, pitot-static testing and leak solving, audio panels, and engine analyzers.
Perform minor and major avionics upgrades, for turboprop and piston aircraft, ranging from King Air, PC12, PA46, Bonanzas, to other single engine Cessnas, Pipers and GA aircraft.
Troubleshooting, panel modification brackets, wire harness design and fabrication, trays and antennas, high speed data bus, CAN bus and configuration setup.
Typical maintenance actions such as cabling, component removal/ installation, wire harness removal/installation.
Follows manufacturer's aircraft maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, illustrated parts manuals, and service bulletins.
Executes all required documentation as work is being completed in connection with assigned duties.
Uses and operates ground support equipment, as applicable in a safe manner.
Basic computer skills - MS Word, Excel

Job Requirements:

Two-year technical degree in avionics, electronics, or a related field desired
Proficient in use of ramp test equipment
A&P certificate desired
Able to read, write, and understand English
Authorized to work permanently in the United States
