We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support commercial aircraft maintenance operations in Salina, KS. This role is ideal for techs who are confident with troubleshooting, installations, system checks, and wiring repairs on transport-category aircraft. The environment moves quickly, so youll need sharp diagnostic skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with A&P, structures, and inspection teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, repair, and test avionics systems on commercial aircraft
Perform wiring repairs, terminations, harness fabrication, and connector work in accordance with technical data
Conduct operational checks, system tests, and functional verifications on avionics and electrical systems
Work from wiring diagrams, schematics, AMMs, EOs, and engineering documents
Remove and replace LRUs, antennas, sensors, switches, and electronic components
Support heavy check and modification programs with avionics inspections and system validations
Document all maintenance actions accurately using approved procedures
Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards
Communicate effectively with leads, inspectors, and fellow techs to support project timelines
Requirements 5+ years of avionics experience on commercial or regional aircraft
Strong hands-on experience with troubleshooting, wiring, and electrical system repairs
Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, system manuals, and engineering data
Must provide your own basic avionics hand tools
Must be able to work overtime or variable shifts as required
Must pass all standard pre-employment screenings
Miscellaneous Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a heavy check MRO environment Familiarity with common commercial aircraft platforms (Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, etc.) Ability to perform RVSM checks, equipment testing, and system configuration Knowledge of digital maintenance tracking systems is a plus
