Job Description:

Bode Aviation is seeking a motivated and experienced Avionics Technician Supervisor. This position is to supervise the daily operations of the Avionic Department, as well as lead and assist on avionic installations, avionic troubleshooting, and avionic repair. Supervisor Duties: *Day to day avionic department supervision and installations. *Project management. *Daily/Weekly/Monthly workflow management and production planning. *Ensure Aviation regulation compliance.

  • Work as an Avionic Technician. *Hiring and training avionics technicians. Preferred Experience and Requirement: *Qualified to hold a FAA Repairman's Certificate.
  • Five (5) years of experience.
  • 145 Repair Station Experience. *Experienced in performing IFR Certifications. *Experience in Installing and Troubleshooting Avionics equipment to including:
  • Garmin, Aspen, S-Tec, Avidyne, FLIR, and Bendix King.
  • Knowledge of FAR 91.411 and 413EE. *GARMIN experience is MANDATORY.
  • General Aviation Experience.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of reading, interpreting drawings, diagrams, and manuals
  • Aircraft avionics/other systems
  • Wire coding systems; avionics test equipment
  • Knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job
  • Skill to use basic hand tools, operate ground support equipment, troubleshoot engine systems, and to measure using a variety of basic and precision measuring devices relating to job function.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and occasionally 75 lbs. 

Expected duties for technicians and supervisor:

  • Avionics technicians work with aircraft to remove, install, inspect, test, trouble shoot, maintain, and repair the avionics equipment and electronics, including radios, navigation systems, and mission control systems, to include rebuild wire harnesses.
  • Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering drawings.
  • Accurately document all work performed to include any SOP, FAA, AS9100’s regulations.
  •  Perform all aircraft maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
  • Perform other tasks assigned.
  •  Some occasional travel may be required.
