Corporate Air Center is seeking a skilled avionics technician to oversee and execute avionics installations and repairs on piston singles, twins and corporate aircraft. This position requires expertise in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems.
The ideal candidate will lead installation projects, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with FAA regulations.
Avionics Responsibilities:
- Lead the installation, troubleshooting, and inspection of avionics systems on piston singles, twin and small business-class aircraft, including Gulfstream G150, Learjet 45, Citation CJ2, King Air B300 and Bell 407.
- Perform avionics modifications, including wiring harness fabrication, integration of flight decks, radar systems, communication, and navigation upgrades.
- Interpret and apply aircraft system drawings, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and blueprints.
- Conduct functional and operational tests on avionics components to evaluate performance and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and Corporate Air Center’s Repair Station Manual for all avionics installations and repairs.
- Maintain and calibrate avionics test equipment, ensuring proper use and storage.
- Utilize Total FBO and Traxxall Software for tracking work order progress and generating logbook entries.
- Demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA & Industry accepted practices, and tooling.
- Perform aircraft sheet metal modifications to facilitate avionics installations.
- Ensure all work is completed per the maintenance manual, service bulletin, Corporate Air Center RSM, FAA FAR or other approved documentation.
- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled inspections, including RVSM certifications, 91.411/91.413 pitot-static checks, and ELT checks.
- Provide mentorship to junior technicians and ensure adherence to best practices in avionics disciplines.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are in proper working order.
Job Requirements:
- 4+ years of progressive experience in avionics (business aviation or military background preferred).
- Experience with avionics troubleshooting, installations, and system integrations.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply wiring diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.

Additional Requirements:
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to perform tasks while standing, kneeling, or in prone positions for extended periods.
- Must have an appropriate set of tools for avionics and maintenance tasks.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
