In this role, you will apply your skills across our growing fleet of aircraft while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a variety of maintenance activities. New mechanics in Salt Lake City (SLC) qualify for a $10,000 bonus with a commitment to work in that location for at least three years.Candidates with military A&P experience may also be eligible for a $7,500 bonus with a commitment to remain employed with SkyWest for a minimum of three years. This position provides the opportunity to expand your technical expertise, work alongside a highly skilled team of mechanics, and make a meaningful contribution to the overall success of SkyWest’s operation.
Primary Job Duties
- Meet all FAA and safety-related requirements
- Effectively troubleshoot all aircraft systems
- Make timely, critical decisions regarding aircraft safety
- Responsible for proficiency in all documentation and paperwork, including parts paperwork
- In a hangar environment, a technician will be performing avionics inspections, routine maintenance (e.g., FOQA downloads), and troubleshooting systems
- Other duties as assigned
