We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to work on aircraft installation projects on the Dash 8 Q400. The role involves working on the airframe, cockpits, and underneath floors to install wires, interpret wiring diagrams, and handle wire harnesses. The position includes both bench work and line maintenance, as well as installation and conversion tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform avionic installations and repairs on the Dash 8 Q400 aircraft.
• Work on airframes, cockpits, and underneath floors to install wiring.
• Interpret and follow wiring diagrams and handle wire harnesses.
• Engage in bench work and line maintenance duties.
• Carry out installation, conversion, and repair tasks for avionics systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure aircraft functionality and safety.

• Must be local to BC.
• Minimum of 2+ years of avionic installation experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a licensed or unlicensed AME.
• Able to start immediately without training.
• Experience in line maintenance, installation, repair, and aircraft maintenance.

• Experience with Dash 8 Q400, RJ 85, or Air Tractor is a plus.
• Licensed ACA certification is advantageous.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess a positive attitude.

Work Environment

The team consists of 5-6 people working closely with the team lead to ensure aircraft functionality. Basic tooling is required, with specialized tools provided as needed. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10-hour days from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Enjoy a supportive environment with allowances for lodging and meals, and travel reimbursements for out-of-province contractors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.50 - $55.00/hr.
