Job Description

This role focuses on performing avionics installations, modifications, and troubleshooting on corporate aircraft in a fast-paced repair station environment, with a primary emphasis on Gulfstream platforms. You will use your hands-on avionics experience to ensure high-quality, reliable systems performance and support safe, efficient aircraft operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform avionics installations on corporate aircraft, with a primary focus on Gulfstream models.
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics systems and components, including wiring, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals to perform accurate installations and repairs.
  • Install, route, and terminate avionics wiring and harnesses in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve avionics system discrepancies using appropriate test equipment and tools.
  • Perform functional tests and inspections of avionics systems after installation or repair to verify proper operation.
  • Document all work performed in accordance with repair station procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Use personal tools and equipment safely and effectively while maintaining them in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to meet project timelines in a fast-paced hangar environment.
  • Work 1st shift and overtime as needed to support operational and project demands.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of hands-on avionics experience.
  • Proficiency in avionics installation and troubleshooting on aircraft.
  • Experience with corporate jets, with Gulfstream experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret avionics wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong skills in avionics electrical work, including wiring installation and repair.
  • Capability to install, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of avionics systems and components.
  • Must be open and available to work 1st shift and overtime as required.
  • Must provide and use a personal set of appropriate hand tools for avionics work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate aircraft and helicopter avionics is highly valued.
  • Experience in military aviation avionics is welcome and considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in a repair station or maintenance facility environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate tasks with other technicians and departments.

Work Environment

The setting is fast paced, with multiple projects running concurrently, and involves standing, climbing, and working in confined aircraft spaces typical of an active maintenance and repair facilit

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
