Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
This long-term avionics technician role focuses on performing complex, classified heavy modifications on fixed-wing military aircraft. You will remove existing systems, install and route wire harnesses throughout the aircraft, and terminate a wide variety of connectors while working from wiring diagrams and schematics in a climate-controlled hangar environment. The position offers the opportunity to support mission-critical programs, obtain or maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance, and grow your career with a rapidly expanding aerospace organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform classified heavy modifications on various fixed-wing military aircraft, including removal of existing avionics and related systems.
- Install, route, and secure wire harnesses throughout the entire aircraft in accordance with engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and wiring schematics.
- Terminate and assemble dozens of different types of electrical and coaxial connectors using appropriate crimpers, tools, and techniques.
- Conduct avionics installation and modification work on airframes such as U-28 (Pilatus PC-12), C-147 (DHC-8 / Dash 8 / Q200 / Q300 / Q400), C-146 (Dornier 328), C-145 (M-28 Skytruck), and A-29 (Super Tucano).
- Perform depot-level and heavy maintenance tasks on avionics systems and electrical components to ensure aircraft readiness and reliability.
- Use crimping, soldering, and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and correct issues in avionics wiring, harnesses, and electronic systems.
Pay
Shift
- Schedules vary by hangar and program, with most roles on first shift and some on second shift; some teams work four 10-hour days while others work five 8-hour days, with rare weekend work and overtime available based on program needs.

Work Environment

The position is structured as a long-term, open-ended contract with the option to transition to a direct role, and includes 6 days of paid time off as well as full medical benefits provided through the staffing partner. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
