Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as an Avionics Technician, where you will work on avionics components of Twin Otter aircraft. You will be responsible for installing avionics parts, wiring components, crimping, splicing, testing, installing, and troubleshooting equipment. The position may also involve occasional bench work. You will receive specific training on the aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
- Install avionics parts into aircraft, including wiring components.
- Crimp, terminate, and splice wires as needed.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of avionics equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints for aircraft manufacturing.
- Work within one of the primary cells: Fuselage, Panel, or Wings.
Essential Skills- 5+ years of experience in avionics systems and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in assembly, soldering, and reading blueprints.
- Experience with Garmin systems.
- Possess an avionics license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a utility aircraft manufacturer located in NE Calgary, with 5 buildings situated in the North end of the city around the airport. This facility serves as the Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) where final modifications take place. You will work on a team of four, with a team lead overseeing progress. The role requires the use of provided tools on-site. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with the potential for a shift from 2:30 PM to 11 PM starting in mid-October. Flexibility towards shift changes is necessary.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
