Avionics Technician

Job Description:

Avionics Maintenance Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing problems to the component level on avionics units (i.e. Navs, Coms, Pulse, Radar, Audio and Autopilot Systems), as well as the aircraft systems.
Perform general avionics support items on aircraft. This shall include, but not be limited to items such as removal and installation of panels and components and repair work.
Troubleshooting and evaluation of systems on the aircraft when designated.
Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
Aircraft movement and performance verification of systems.
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling to support operations.
Work with customer in project management, pricing and customer support roles.
Work independently on projects.
Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases

Job Requirements:

Lifts 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Standing for long periods of time.
Climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas
Basic computer skills
Personal hand tools supplied by the mechanic.
Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.Jacks, stands, lifts and other support devices.
Tugs, power carts and other engine powered equipment.
Crimpers, soldering iron and heat guns.
Personal computer and work order prints
