A leading rotorcraft maintenance and modernization facility is seeking highly skilled Avionics Technicians to support complex avionics installations, troubleshooting, and integration projects on multiple aircraft platforms. This role focuses heavily on wiring, harness fabrication, system modifications, and mission-specific upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot advanced avionics systems, components, and wiring in accordance with engineering instructions and approved data.
  • Perform heavy avionics work including rewiring, harness building, routing, terminating, lacing, and connector pinning.
  • Execute system upgrades such as navigation, communication, flight control, surveillance, and mission-equipment integrations.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, STCs, engineering orders, and aircraft maintenance manuals.
  • Conduct continuity checks, functional tests, and system diagnostics using specialized avionics test equipment.
  • Document all work performed in compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and quality teams to ensure accuracy of installations and configurations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Pay: $36/hr + $890/week per diem split
Second-Shift Differential: +$1.50/hr
Schedule: 4×10s, Monday–Thursday (First & Second Shifts)

Experience Required: 6+ years of heavy avionics, wiring, and modification experience
Tools: Must provide own standard avionics toolset

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of heavy avionics experience in a maintenance, modification, or integration environment.
  • Strong proficiency with aircraft wiring, terminations, system troubleshooting, and cockpit/airframe modifications.
  • Ability to read and work from complex wiring diagrams and engineering packages.
  • Must supply own tools appropriate for avionics wiring and installation tasks.
  • Capable of working a 4×10 schedule (Mon–Thu) on assigned first or second shift.
  • Ability to pass required compliance screenings.
