Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job DescriptionAs an Aircraft Electrician, you will be responsible for performing avionics troubleshooting, installations, repairs, maintenance, and modifications on the avionics and electrical systems of F/A-18 aircraft. This role involves upgrading radar packages, communication equipment, and other system upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on avionics systems.
- Install and maintain avionics and electrical systems on F/A-18 aircraft.
- Conduct modifications and upgrades, including radar package and communication systems.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals for installations and repairs.
- Work on fiber optic installations and cable management.
Essential Skills- Proficiency in avionics troubleshooting and installation.
- Experience with fiber optic cable installation.
- Knowledge of avionics systems and schematics.
- 4-7 years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft electrical systems, preferably on fighter jets.
- Experience with F-18 aircraft is highly preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Navy Ratings of AE or AT are highly desirable.
- Experience with NAV - magic box is highly preferred.
- Must be eligible for SECRET clearance.
- Eligibility for a Boeing badge is required, with no terminations on record with Boeing.

Work Environment
Work is conducted in a hangar and occasionally on the flightline. The environment is mostly indoors and is not climate-controlled. Flexibility for 1st or 2nd shift work is required.

This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
