Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job Description
The role involves the disassembly and assembly of aircraft parts, including wings, fuselage, and landing gear, following engineering drawings and specifications. The technician will perform both on-call and scheduled line maintenance on various customers aircraft, ensuring routine maintenance and airworthiness releases are completed to return aircraft to service.
Responsibilities
- Service, inspect, and maintain aircraft, aircraft engines, and associated components to meet deadlines and performance goals.
- Troubleshoot systems and disassemble, repair, and reassemble sections and components to maintain full functioning equipment according to Approved Technical Data.
- Ensure all departing aircraft are safe in accordance with FAR’s and the air carrier/manufacturer manuals, with all work properly documented.
- Perform line maintenance duties, activities, and maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with the air carrier’s maintenance control center.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years’ experience in aircraft maintenance on Boeing Aircraft
- Must have an A&P License
- Recent line maintenance experience with an emphasis on troubleshooting, daily and turn checks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Boeing aircraft maintenance, including B737, B757, B767, B777, and B747.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, and use hand and finger dexterity.
- Capability to climb, balance, bend, or crawl, including occasionally working from heights in precarious places.
- Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds.
- Awareness of working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
- Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
- Exposure to weather conditions and non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
- Must read and write English.
- Must pass airport security checks and travel for work as required.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Work Environment
Work is performed at an airport hangar with shifts available during both days and nights (6pm to 7am or 6am to 7pm). The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts followed by one 6-hour shift, with options for shifts from Wednesday to Saturday or Sunday to Wednesday. The environment involves working near and around moving mechanical parts, with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and loud noises, as well as varying weather conditions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
