Job Title: Avionics Technician

Job Description

As an Avionics Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and installing avionics systems. You will perform complex troubleshooting, testing, and repair of avionics systems and equipment under the guidance of the Avionics Crew Lead.

Responsibilities

• Operate various digital and analog test sets primarily for line troubleshooting of complex avionics systems.
• Make minor metal repairs such as extracting bad screws and replacing racks.
• Swing and compensate aircraft compass systems.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems using wiring diagrams and manufacturers installation manuals.
• Install and perform ground and flight checks of all avionics systems.
• Ensure all work meets FAA and Dassault standards.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in interactions with customers, guests, and co-workers.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in avionics troubleshooting and repair.
• Proficiency in avionics installation.
• Strong computer skills.
• Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to perform tasks to FAA and Dassault standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an electronics/avionics technical school or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience as an Avionics Technician, preferably in a business jet environment.

Work Environment

The position is based in an aircraft hangar and involves working with Dassault Aircraft Services, a major service provider for Falcon Aircraft located in Reno.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $40.00/hr.
