Job Description:

Avionics Technicians are responsible to the Chief Inspector and shall assure that the procedure outlined in the repair station manual as well as all FAA Regulations and manufacturer’s instructions are complied with. In addition to all responsibilities listed below, work involves the responsibility of performing routine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, modification of aircraft systems, and installations. In addition, component removal and reinstallation, operational checks, and leak checks are all within the responsibility of the avionics technician. The avionics technician is responsible for using sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution.

Job Requirements:
Physical Demands:
This work requires the following physical activities.:
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Environmental Conditions:
  • Industrial/Hangar environment.
Minimum Education Requirement:
  • 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (optional)
  • Federal Communication Commission (FCC) License (optional)
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED
Minimum Work Experience Requirement:
  • 1 - 3 years experience in aircraft avionics installations and repairs.
  • Strong understanding in 145 repair station operations/regulations required.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to pass a drug screening test
  • Able to pass a background check
Qualifications/Special Skills and Certifications:

  • problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Computer – Knowledge of MS Office Software, AutoCAD, and Quantum MX. (preferred)
  • Overall knowledge of aircraft that are worked by this location.
