Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Technician to support maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems on Bombardier CRJ aircraft. The position is based in Tucson, Arizona, supporting heavy maintenance, line maintenance, and modification activities in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of CRJ avionics systems, including:
- Communication, navigation, and flight control systems
- Autopilot and flight guidance systems
- EFIS, FMS, TCAS, GPS, and radar systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, AMMs, SRMs, IPCs, and WDMs
- Conduct operational and functional tests after maintenance or modification
- Perform avionics removals and installations (R&I) in accordance with maintenance manuals
- Troubleshoot avionics discrepancies using test equipment and fault isolation procedures
- Document all work performed in accordance with FAA, company, and customer requirements
- Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with A&P mechanics, inspectors, and engineering teams
- Support heavy checks, line maintenance, and modification projects as required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years of avionics experience on transport category aircraft
- CRJ aircraft experience preferred (CRJ-200/700/900)
- Strong knowledge of aircraft avionics systems and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical data and wiring diagrams
- Familiarity with FAA regulations (Part 145 / Part 121 preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime if required
- Eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- FCC GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License)
- Experience with heavy maintenance or modification environments
- Previous MRO or airline maintenance experience
- A&P License

- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in confined spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on elevated platforms and aircraft structures
