Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
This role focuses on functional testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft avionics and electrical systems in a service center environment. You will help prepare aircraft for flight test and airworthiness certification by ensuring that navigation, communication, and related systems operate safely and reliably.
Responsibilities
- Perform functional testing of avionics and electrical systems to verify proper operation and compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot avionics and electrical issues using appropriate diagnostic tools, technical data, and schematics.
- Repair and adjust avionics and electrical components, wiring, and systems in accordance with approved procedures.
- Prepare aircraft for flight test and airworthiness certification by verifying that all avionics and electrical systems are configured, tested, and documented.
- Work in a flight line, repair station, or MRO environment to support ongoing maintenance, modifications, and inspections.
- Document all work performed in maintenance records and ensure accuracy and completeness of logs and reports.
- Collaborate with other technicians and teams to resolve complex avionics and electrical problems efficiently.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintenance manuals, and regulatory guidelines while performing work on aircraft.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of electrical avionics technical school with a certificate or equivalent military or vendor training.
- At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems, including at least 1 year focused on avionics troubleshooting.
- Experience working in a flight line, repair station, or MRO environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting avionics systems such as navigation and communication equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.

- Monday through Friday from 3:12 p.m. to 11:42 p.m
- Monday through Friday from 11:42 p.m. to 6:42 a.m
- Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m
- Friday through Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

The dress code is casual and practical, typically jeans, a T‑shirt, and tennis shoes suitable for hands‑on aircraft maintenance work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $55.00/hr.
