Aircraft Avionics Technician (Avionics / Heavy Maintenance)
We are seeking skilled Avionics Technicians with heavy maintenance experience to support growing MRO operations in the Greater Southwest Ohio region. This role supports aircraft modifications, troubleshooting, inspections, and avionics system repairs across multiple commercial aircraft platforms. Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly Rate: $33.00/hour (DOE)
• Annual Earnings: Most contractors earn approximately $70,000.00+ per year, depending on voluntary overtime
• Per Diem: Up to $45,760 annually (tax-free), based on $880.00/week in tax-exempt per diem
Work Schedule
• Multiple shift options available
• 3x13 Schedule
• 4x10 Schedule
• 5x8 Schedule
Key Responsibilities
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and testing of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
• Conduct inspections and modifications in accordance with company and manufacturer technical manuals
• Install, inspect, and repair wiring, avionics components, and communication/navigation systems
• Troubleshoot aircraft electrical discrepancies using wiring diagrams and maintenance documentation
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company quality standards
• Accurately document maintenance actions and completed work
• Support aircraft return-to-service activities within a fast-paced MRO environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisors or Management
Qualifications
• Prior avionics experience within a heavy maintenance, transport, or regional jet environment required
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft electrical and avionics systems preferred
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and aircraft maintenance manuals
• Previous experience in a FAR Part 145 repair station environment preferred
• Familiarity with Boeing commercial aircraft platforms preferred
• Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team-focused maintenance environment
• Must provide tools as outlined on required tool list
