Vinnell Arabia has multiple Avionics Trainer/Technician positions available.

  • Performs duties as an avionics mechanic.
  • Additionally, performs unit level aircraft electrical, navigational and avionics repairman maintenance on aircraft avionics and avionics electrical components.
  • Performs maintenance on the electrical/avionics associated with the Aircraft using the specific aircraft Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, aircraft Check List Manual, and any customer or specific directives.
  • Diagnoses and repairs aircraft systems and components malfunctions including solid state and transistorized devices according to the appropriate technical manuals, directives and safety procedures.
  • Uses common measuring tools necessary for performing the tasks described herein, precision measuring tools and alignment fixtures.
  • Performs aircraft systems operational checks.Test, troubleshoots, and repair aircraft avionics systems test sets and diagnostic equipment.
  • Assist Customer in the requisition and maintenance of Shop and Bench stock items for repair of aircraft avionics systems, avionics instruments.
  • Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, AGSE and PGSE.
  • Provides training to Saudi National Guard soldiers to include certification recommendations for progression from level 1 to level II.
  • Develop training programs, schedule training and document training in an automated training management system.
  • Provide training reports to the Division training officer as required.
  • Prepares aircraft maintenance forms and records.
  • Ensures that all related maintenance operations are conducted in a safe manner.
Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education level: High school diploma required.

Experience: Five (5) years’ experience performing aviation avionics maintenance required. Qualified by the appropriate USG armed forces aircraft avionics maintenance course or civilian equivalent, required. Ten (10) years’ experience performing aviation avionics maintenance desired. US Military or civilian technical trainer experience required. Experience in overseas contracting environments desired.
 
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements: USG armed forces aircraft avionics maintenance course or civilian equivalent required. Proficient in the use of technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation. Demonstrated past experience in unit level electrical / avionics repairs. Ability to communicate both orally and written. Ability to effectively deal with people in the supervision of staff and team members. Ability to effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possesses a valid State driver’s license. Successfully pass an overseas deployment physical upon hire.
Salary Range: TBD-TBD
Travel: One year contract, renewable
